Test the problem, willingness to change, data availability, value and operating conditions as well as technical feasibility. For each assumption, state what result would show it is wrong.
A test plan records the assumption, method, sample, criteria, cost, owner and action for each outcome. Include real constraints and difficult cases, rather than only easy tasks.
When comparing options, engineering explains feasibility and limitations while the business owner judges whether they are worth accepting. Show evidence and trade-offs; a demo does not replace the owner’s judgment.
